Telegraph Article, United Kingdom, Karakoram Anomaly Project, 2015

“There are a lot of ways to die here. Not the most comforting of words when among forboding mountain crags and shards of ice, each the size of a small house. But given that travellers from the Karakoram Anomaly Project had just seen a giant boulder break loose from the ice, and free fall 50m into a glacial lake, sending shock waves in all directions, the words of Sergiu Jiduc, expedition leader and scientific researcher, are not far wrong”. RoPortal – The Youngest Romanian to reach an elevation in excess of 7000m, 2010

In 2010 during a successful Romanian expedition on Khan Tengri (7010m) – the most difficult “Snow Leopard” and most nordic 7000m peak in the world, I became the youngest climber in Romania to scale this mountain and above an altitude of 7000m. I was only 19 years old and just graduated from high school. After a serious battle with a snow storm which kept us stranded at 6000m in camp 3, we reached the summit of the “Lord of the spirits” on August 8, 2010. Full article at
